Farmers Dump Crops on Roads Singhar Says Govt Busy Eating “Jhalmuri” The opposition Congress staged a massive protest on Thursday over farmers’ issues in Madhya Pradesh. Party workers blocked the Agra-Mumbai Highway at seven places from Khalghat to Morena covering nearly 580 kilometers. At several locations police and protesters argued and pushed each other while thousands of travelers remained stuck for hours. Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar accused the government of ignoring farmers. He said farmers are being forced to throw their crops on roads while the government is busy with politics. Singhar warned that angry farmers would respond strongly if their problems continue to be ignored. Congress Warns of CM House Lockdown Protest Jitu Patwari said the Congress protest was peaceful and lasted from 11 AM to 3 PM as planned. He claimed farmers and party workers left the highways once the scheduled protest ended. Patwari warned that if the government does not accept farmers’ demands the agitation will expand to village and panchayat levels across the state. He further said the Congress party will not step back from the movement. According to him the next step could be a large protest outside the Chief Minister’s residence including a symbolic lockdown of the CM House. ₹2.83 Crore Found in Suspicious Bags on Indore-Ujjain Road Police recovered nearly ₹2.83 crore from three suspicious bags found on the Sanwer-Ujjain Road near Indore on Thursday morning. Officials said the bags contained 566 bundles of ₹500 notes along with colored papers placed between the currency stacks. At first glance the notes appeared genuine but police have started a detailed investigation to confirm their authenticity. The discovery created panic and curiosity in the area. Authorities are now trying to identify who left the bags on the roadside and whether the money is linked to any illegal activity or organized crime network operating in the region. BJP MLA Sends ₹10 Crore Defamation Notice to Congress Leader BJP MLA Chintamani Malviya has sent a ₹10 crore defamation notice to Madhya Pradesh Mahila Congress chief Reena Borasi Setia. The notice was issued through the MLA’s lawyer after Setia allegedly made serious allegations against him in media interviews including claims related to sexual exploitation and illegal land occupation. Malviya denied the accusations and called them false and damaging to his reputation. A legal notice has also been sent to a local television channel that aired the statements. The matter is now expected to move toward a legal and political confrontation in the state. Fake Currency Racket Busted in Bhopal Fake Doctor Arrested Police in Bhopal arrested a man from West Bengal for allegedly circulating fake currency notes. The accused was caught by Kohefiza police with 280 fake ₹500 notes worth around ₹1.40 lakh. During questioning the man claimed that he was an MBBS doctor. Police said the counterfeit notes looked very similar to real currency making the case more serious. Investigators are now checking whether the accused was part of a larger fake currency gang operating across states. Officials are also trying to trace the source of the counterfeit notes and identify possible connections with other suspects. Rain and Storm Alert in 11 Districts of Madhya Pradesh The weather department has predicted rain and thunderstorms in 11 districts of Madhya Pradesh including Gwalior over the next two days. Officials said western disturbance cyclonic circulation and a trough system are causing unstable weather conditions across the state for the past week. Strong winds and rainfall are expected to continue in several areas before temperatures rise again on May 9 and 10. Meteorologists also said a new weather system will become active from May 10 which may again change conditions after two days. Residents have been advised to remain alert during thunderstorms and strong winds. -------
