MLA Reaches Collectorate with 500 Stray Cows; Gate Found Locked In Sheopur Congress held a very unusual protest against the rising problem of stray cattle. MLA Babu Jandel along with party workers walked almost 18 kilometers while herding more than 500 stray cows. They took the animals directly to the Collectorate to show how serious the issue has become for farmers. But when they reached the office they found the main gate locked by the administration. The MLA climbed the gate and shouted slogans. He warned that stray cows are damaging crops and causing accidents on the roads. Jandel said the government must take immediate action or the protest will be intensified. CM Visits Indore Says-Naxalism Has Been Eliminated Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav arrived in Indore on Thursday. Speaking at the airport he said that since his government came to power it has been working continuously for the welfare of youth and poor families. He claimed that during the Congress government Naxalism was a very big challenge in the state. But the present government has successfully controlled and ended the problem in most districts. The CM also mentioned that the administration is focusing on development law and order and improving basic facilities for the public. He praised Indore for its discipline and growing importance in the state. Vikrant Bhuria Says-Figure of 33000 Trees Is Wrong The tree-cutting controversy in Singrauli is getting more intense. Congress MLA Vikrant Bhuria said that the official number of 33000 trees being cut is completely incorrect. According to him more than three lakh trees have actually been removed in the district. He claimed the administration is hiding the real figures to protect certain influential people. Bhuria demanded a high-level investigation and said such massive destruction of forests will harm the environment and local communities. He also added that Congress will continue raising the issue until the truth is made public and strict action is taken. Farmers Protest with Blackened Faces and “Rooster Act” in Burhanpur In Burhanpur farmers affected by the Pangri Dam Project staged another unique protest on Thursday. For the last two years they have been demanding fair compensation but claim the administration is not listening. This time the farmers gathered in large numbers on the banks of the Utawali River. They blackened their faces crouched like roosters and performed a symbolic “murga protest” to highlight their pain. They said they are losing their land and livelihood and urged officials to resolve the issue quickly and deliver justice. Last Active Naxals of Balaghat Surrender; District Declared Naxal-Free Balaghat district achieved a major milestone after the surrender of the last two hardcore Naxals. Deepak carrying a reward of ₹29 lakh and his partner Rohit with a reward of ₹14 lakh surrendered on December 11 in the Birsa area. They reached the Korca camp and handed over their weapons to police officials. ASP (Naxal) Adarshkant Shukla confirmed that with this surrender Balaghat has officially become Naxal-free. Both men said they now want to leave violence and join the mainstream. Police will assist them in rehabilitation under government policies that support surrendered Naxals. They are accused of selling properties that were mortgaged with the state government without taking mandatory approval. Officials said the company manipulated documents to complete the sale. This has caused financial loss to the government. The EOW is now investigating more details about the transactions and whether more people were involved. Khalsa College in Indore and Govt Engineering College in Ujjain Sealed The municipal corporations of Indore and Ujjain have taken strong steps against major property tax defaulters. In Indore Khalsa College’s office was sealed on Thursday for not paying dues. Meanwhile in Ujjain the store room of the Government Engineering College was sealed. Both institutions owe more than ₹1 crore in pending tax. Officials said that several notices were sent earlier but no payment was made. Police said the man did this because he wanted to become a porn star. After the video went viral the woman filed a complaint. Cold Wave Tightens Grip; Indore Records 4.5°C Madhya Pradesh is facing severe winter conditions. On Wednesday–Thursday night the temperature again dropped below 5°C in many areas. Indore was the coldest major city in the state recording 4.5°C — even colder than Pachmarhi the state’s only hill station. This is the lowest temperature in Indore in the past 10 years. The Meteorological Department has warned that cold winds from the north will continue and temperatures may drop further. People have been advised to stay warm especially during early morning and late-night hours.
