Ambedkar statue protest: Bhim Army stopped at Gwalior border Tension is rising in Gwalior over the demand to install Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s statue on High Court premises. On Wednesday Bhim Army Bharat Ekta Mission called for a massive panchayat at Phoolbagh ground. However police blocked their entry at Niravali point on the Gwalior-Morena border. Despite the blockade over 3000 supporters gathered by 2:30 PM. PCC chief Jitu Patwari backed the demand saying the statue represents an ideology and the fight is against those who oppose Ambedkar’s legacy. The protest is gaining momentum as symbolic of a larger battle for representation and social justice. Laxman Singh expelled from Cong for 6 years In a big blow to Congress in Madhya Pradesh. Laxman Singh former MP and younger brother of senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh was expelled from the party for six years. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav visited Jamnagar Gujarat to study the renowned Vantara Wildlife Centre operated by the Ambani group. The MP forest department team accompanied him. Corruption rampant in MNREGA says Jitu Patwari Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Jitu Patwari has levelled serious allegations of corruption in MNREGA scheme. He claimed that nearly ₹100 crore worth of work in each district is either fake or incomplete. Patwari alleged that village panchayats receive government funds only after paying commissions to officials. “No work gets done unless sarpanchs and secretaries receive their cut” he said.
