UP wheat being sold in MP alleges former opposition leader Senior Congress leader Dr. Govind Singh has alleged a major wheat procurement scam in Madhya Pradesh. He claimed that cheap wheat from Uttar Pradesh is being illegally sold at MSP centers in Bhind district especially in Lahar and Raun areas. According to him traders are using fake registrations to sell wheat. He said wheat costs around ₹2100 in UP but ₹2625 per quintal in MP with bonus. This price gap is being misused causing a loss of over ₹500 per quintal to the government. He demanded strict investigation into the alleged scam. --- Bhopal Metropolitan Region Gets Approval The government has officially notified the Bhopal Metropolitan Region. The region will cover nearly 13000 square kilometers and include over 2500 villages from nearby districts like Bhopal Raisen and Sehore.
