CM Mohan Yadav Visits Birasini Shaktipeeth Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited Umaria district on Wednesday. He reached Birasinghpur Pali and offered prayers at the Maa Birasini Shaktipeeth along with his family. The Chief Minister prayed for peace prosperity and happiness of Madhya Pradesh. After the temple visit CM Yadav said that with the blessings of Maa Birasini the government is working continuously for public welfare. Earlier in the day the Chief Minister went on a jungle safari at Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve and spotted tigers. He also held a review meeting with forest and district officials in the Tala area and discussed conservation and tourism-related issues. Minister Complains of Being Ignored in Meetings Madhya Pradesh Sahariya Development Authority Vice Chairman and Minister of State rank leader Sitaram Adivasi expressed his displeasure on Wednesday. He said that despite holding a ministerial position he is not invited to important meetings and is not given due respect. Sitaram alleged that former minister Ramniwas Rawat who recently joined the BJP from Congress is being given priority at all levels. He said even during district-level meetings he was ignored. Sitaram added that even the Chief Minister gives more attention to Rawat which has caused disappointment and raised questions about internal coordination within the party. Man Arrested for Stealing Women’s Undergarments Bhopal’s Kolar police arrested a man involved in a strange theft case. The accused used to steal women’s undergarments and wear them himself. On Tuesday night he entered a dairy operator’s house in Amarnath Colony and stole clothes from the balcony. The house owner noticed a shadow and raised an alarm forcing the accused to flee. During the escape the accused dropped his labour card which helped police identify him as Deepesh. On Wednesday afternoon police arrested him from his house. At the time of arrest he was sleeping while wearing the stolen undergarments. A video of the incident has surfaced. Five-Month-Old Baby Dies Due to Contaminated Water In Indore’s Bhagirathpura area deaths due to contaminated water continue to rise. On Wednesday a five-month-old baby named Avyan Sahu died along with three other residents. With this the total death toll has reached nine. The baby’s mother questioned why the government is not clearly explaining the cause of children’s deaths. The other victims include Gomti Rawat Uma Kori and Santosh Bigolia. All were residents of Bhagirathpura. Locals allege that polluted drinking water is responsible. Health teams are investigating the matter while residents are demanding clean water supply and strict action against those responsible. Speeding Scorpio Crashes into Shop Student Killed A tragic road accident took place in Indore on Wednesday afternoon. A speeding Scorpio car rammed into an egg shop near Mari Mata Road close to Kila Maidan. A student named Chandan Sharma who had come to inquire about coaching classes died in the accident. His sister and the shop owner were injured and taken to MY Hospital for treatment. The police said the vehicle was moving at high speed when the driver lost control. The accident caused panic in the area. Police have registered a case and started an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash. IFS Officer Asit Gopal Promoted as Special Secretary The central government has assigned new responsibilities to officers on central deputation before the start of 2026. After approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet fresh orders were issued. Two officers from the Madhya Pradesh cadre are included. IAS officer Keralin Khongwar Deshmukh of the 1996 batch has been shifted from the Ministry of Social Justice to the Ministry of Women and Child Development as Additional Secretary. Meanwhile 1990 batch IFS officer Asit Gopal has been promoted and appointed as Special Secretary and Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Textiles marking a significant career milestone. Harpreet Bhatia Leaves Madhya Pradesh Cricket Team Star batsman Harpreet Singh Bhatia has said goodbye to the Madhya Pradesh cricket team. He left the team in the middle of the Vijay Hazare Trophy and returned home. According to MP Cricket Association sources Harpreet may now play for another country’s team in the upcoming T20 World Cup. The tournament will be held from February 7 to March 8 in India and Sri Lanka. Harpreet’s sudden decision surprised fans and teammates. He has been an important player for MP cricket for many years and his exit marks the end of an era for the state team. Navodaya School Students Lock Themselves in Hostel Tension erupted at Jawahar Navodaya Higher Secondary School in Joura Morena district on Wednesday morning. Around 80 students from classes 9 to 12 locked themselves inside the hostel protesting against alleged harassment by a PT teacher. The students refused to open the gate despite repeated requests from school authorities. Police district officials ambulance services and fire brigade teams were called to the spot. After nearly three hours of counseling and assurance the students finally opened the gate. The administration has assured a fair inquiry into the allegations while parents have demanded strict action and student safety. Cold Weather Continues Across Madhya Pradesh Cold weather conditions continue in many parts of Madhya Pradesh. Several cities recorded a sharp drop in night temperatures making mornings very chilly. Northern and central districts experienced dense fog during early hours affecting road visibility. Bhopal Indore Gwalior and Ujjain witnessed cold winds while rural areas felt harsher cold. Weather experts said the temperature may fall further in the coming days due to cold winds from North India. People have been advised to stay warm especially children and elderly citizens. Farmers are also alert as cold conditions may affect crops.
