MP bags ₹1670 crore in fresh investments CM launches 47 units In a major boost to Madhya Pradesh’s industrial growth the 8th Regional RISE Industries Conclave was held in Ratlam. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 47 industrial units across 21 districts with a single click. The total investment exceeds ₹1670 crore. These projects are expected to generate over 3780 new jobs across the state. The conclave saw participation from top industrialists and marked a key step in making Ratlam a major investment hub. Patwari friend found dead in field In Chhatarpur bodies of Patwari Pran Singh (50) and his friend Channu Yadav (45) were found Friday morning in a field. Their bodies bore injury marks sparking suspicion of foul play. According to family members both had gone out for an evening walk as usual. Pran Singh’s wife Parvati Adiwasi a BJP district vice president alleged that local MLA Arvind Pateria pressured for her husband’s transfer linking it to his death. Police are investigating multiple angles including political connections. The incident has sent shockwaves in the local administration and political circles. MP inks deal for 252 MW power from Arunachal The Madhya Pradesh government has signed an agreement to purchase 252 megawatts of electricity from Arunachal Pradesh. MP Power Management Company and NHPC inked the MoU at Samatva Bhavan in the CM’s residence. The electricity will come from the multipurpose hydropower project in Lower Dibang Valley. Officials say the move is part of a long-term strategy to diversify the states power sources. 24 new deputy collectors join MPs GAD pool The General Administration Department has inducted 24 new deputy collectors into the Madhya Pradesh bureaucracy. One officer from the 2021 batch Prashi Agrawal of Jabalpur has been appointed from the waiting list. The remaining 23 officers belong to the 2022 batch. All appointees have been posted as probationary officers. Their induction comes amid increased administrative workload due to monsoon challenges and upcoming elections. These officers are expected to be deployed across districts in critical roles under mentorship postings. The move adds fresh strength to grassroots governance. BJP state president to be named within a week After six months of speculation the BJP is finally set to announce its new Madhya Pradesh state president. Senior party leader Dharmendra Pradhan is expected to visit Bhopal on July 1 or 2 to oversee the process. Though the date isn’t confirmed sources say the decision is in its final stages. Saints attacked in Gwalior ashram cash and car looted Late Thursday night three masked attackers stormed Vankhandi Ashram in Ghati Gaon Gwalior and assaulted two saints with iron rods and sticks. Baba Shivanand Giri and Satishanand Giri were injured. The assailants looted ₹50000 in cash a laptop two mobile phones and a car. Police launched a citywide alert and found the abandoned car in Bahodapur on Friday morning. Investigations are ongoing while the injured saints are receiving treatment. The incident has raised security concerns around isolated religious establishments in the region. Air India halts Indore–Delhi flights till July 15 Air India has temporarily suspended its Indore–Delhi flights (AI 803 and 804) until July 15 due to aircraft maintenance and technical checks. This follows a recent incident in Ahmedabad that triggered a nationwide inspection of Air India’s fleet. Affected passengers are being accommodated on alternate flights or given full refunds. Travel dates can also be changed without extra charges. Air India Express has also delayed some of its services. The airline says safety is its top priority and apologized for the inconvenience. Army leads flood rescue drill at Bhopal’s Big Pond The Indian Army along with NDRF SDRF and Home Department teams conducted a live flood rescue drill at the 3 EME Training Centre in Khanugaon Bhopal. The operation began at 10:45 AM and simulated real-time disaster rescue. SDRF teams showcased coordination with boats while NDRF divers rescued a ‘drowning victim’. Communication tools like wireless and mobile systems were tested during the exercise. The joint demo reassured Bhopal residents of disaster readiness. All rescue equipment including various boats and emergency kits were on display during the drill. Heavy rain alert in 10 districts The monsoon has intensified in Madhya Pradesh. On Friday morning Bhopal and Mauganj saw heavy showers. In Bhopal a tree fell across a road near the 1100 Quarter area. In Khargone the Sirwel waterfall burst due to continuous rain. IMD has issued an Orange Alert for very heavy rain in Jhabua and Alirajpur. Yellow alerts cover cities like Bhopal Indore Ujjain and Jabalpur. In Mandsaur streets were waterlogged and in Chhatarpur lightning claimed the life of a farmer. Officials warn of more intense rains in the coming days. With several districts witnessing flooding and waterlogging CM Dr. Mohan Yadav held a video conference with collectors and SPs across the state. He ordered constant monitoring of weather-related emergencies. District and police officials have been told to act immediately on any danger signs.
